Fully renovated 1800’s Hamlet General Store and Residence
In October of 2024 we had the opportunity to purchase an Iconic piece of Adirondack Culture here in Johnsburg, a Hamlet General Store and House. The General Store operated from 1904-1956 by Lemon Morehouse, with the Morehouse family living above. After Lemon’s passing the General store shuttered its doors for last the 68 years. During that time the building had gone through many phases of additions, renovations and just layers of history. The Orenda Management Group saw the potential to bring a new local business to the Hamlet of Johnsburg.
The exterior facade and General Store store has been renovated back to its original architecture of the 1800’s.
An unique short Stay rental, The Hamlet House is a full second floor, two bedroom residence. Large great room with a Custom Kitchen, Custom Island, Dining Area and Living Room with a gas fireplace, luxurious furnishings. Private entrance with Porch and Mudroom large staircase heading to second floor, consisting of one king and two queens both with full private bathrooms.
