At Orenda you will be able to enjoy a safe and comfortable camping and backcountry experience in the beautiful Adirondack State Park while lodging in our custom made canvas tent cabins that offer you all the comforts of backcountry living.

Orenda provides you an opportunity to leave the hectic pace of everyday life behind to relax and enjoy the peace and serenity of getting back to nature. Take long hikes on winding paths and back wood trails, wade barefoot in cool streams, canoe on tranquil lakes or just gaze at the star filled night sky all while enjoying the sounds of the wild.

At our private and secure family owned 40-acre mountain property, you will have total access to beautiful mountain vistas, rivers, lakes and the rugged Adirondack Mountains. Orenda is for both beginners who want to learn the basics of camping, to the experienced back-country outdoorsman who wants to utilize a fully provisioned base camp while accessing the Lower-Adirondack Region.

Enjoy getting back to nature at one of our three unique campsites, each complete with custom made canvas tent cabins, where you can relax and enjoy the pleasures of a camping experience in a rugged environment. Every person will have more than enough personal space and ample activities to enjoy the pleasures of tent camping in the great outdoors.

Number Of Camp Sites

One main campsite on a private 40 acre property where there are 3 unique campsites with custom designed canvas tents on platforms nestled among the rolling hills and along Mill Creek in Johnsburg. It has an amazing outdoor kitchen and a wonderfully designed pavilion at the base camp

Campground Style

The whole campground is completely incorporated within the natural surroundings. Each campsite offers a private 10×12′ canvas tent that includes two twin beds with inflatable camping mattresses, classic Adirondack chairs and an array of Adirondack trinkets incorporated throughout. The base camp is situated right on Mill Creek, a famous Adirondack Creek that supported Tanneries, Grist and saw mills. The main pavilion offers a great central location for meals and evening campfire sessions. The outdoor kitchen is unique in its design and operation. It blends in perfectly within the hillside and creek

The Camp can potentially hold up to 12 people per session. Each session is two nights, three days.
