More Adirondack Hikes to Try

One of the most popular activities to indulge in while glamping at Orenda is hiking the Adirondacks. The Adirondack mountains offer more breathtaking views than you can possibly count in one visit. Crane Mountain Loop

One of the closest hikes near Orenda, is the well known Crane Mountain. Crane mountain is a moderate to difficult 3.2 mile loop. This beautiful southern Adirondack hike will take you across a natural stone bridge, cliff ladders, and a spring fed mountain ridge pond. Bring your picnic style packed lunch with you and relax at any of the serene spots along the way. Indian Head 

This roughly 10 mile loop will bring you to one of the most iconic summits in all the Northeast. Just a short drive from Orenda, you have to experience this picturesque location for yourself before your Adirondack retreat is over. While you’re out and exploring, check out Rainbow Falls and relax next to one of the Adirondacks tallest, most peaceful waterfalls. Cat and Thomas Mountain Trail

The Cat and Thomas Mountain trail is a moderate hike, spanning a total of 7.1 miles round trip. This trail gives you spectacular views of the beautiful and historic Lake George, and is perfect for your furry four legged friends if you’ve brought your pet with you. On a clear day, you’ll have excellent views looking east over the “Queen of American Lakes”. A trip to the Adirondack region isn’t complete without experiencing the history and beauty of Lake George. Cascade Mountain

If you’re looking to conquer one of the famous “high peaks” and aren’t the most experienced hiker, then Cascade Mountain is a great place to start. This is one of the more moderate hikes over 4000 feet and will give you great views south looking at the Great Range. This mountain hike is a little over 5 miles, and features an exposed summit so you can relax, soak in the sun, and view 360 degree scenery of endless mountain views.
